About Me

I’m Louise, an academic and research librarian with over 20 years of experience supporting university students in Ireland and the UK. My background spans academic libraries, English language teaching, and specialised support for students returning to education, as well as neurodiverse students including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and anxiety.

After a 17-year break from formal study, I returned to formal education as an international student in 2024. This experience deepened my understanding of the academic, cultural, and emotional challenges students face when re-entering education or studying in a new country, and it strongly informs the way I support others.

I now provide online academic support for students studying in Perth and across Western Australia. I specialise in helping international students, first-year students, and students returning to study build confidence in academic research, writing, referencing, and information literacy.

My approach is inclusive, culturally aware, and grounded in both professional expertise and lived experience. Whether someone needs help understanding an assignment brief, structuring a literature review, finding credible sources, or developing academic English, I offer clear, practical guidance that reduces overwhelm and builds genuine academic independence.
